A Fervent Plea

Today's world has several misfortunes of which most people are ignorant. There are some people who are gifted with everything one would ever want to have. There are some who have just what they want. There are some others who have the bare minimum they need to survive. But the mist unfortunate of all are the people who don't even have the gifts of vision, hearing, speech or a sane mind. These people are either abandoned by their parents at a very early age or they are left to live a life of disregard. One in every ten children or 3% of the country's total child population also falls in this category. The government itself admits that of the total disabled population, only 2% are educated and 1% employed. No effort or priority is being made to give them a better world. Fortunately, there are some who take pity in the plight of these people and help them out.

Vela Special School is one such institution for hearing impaired and mentally challenged kids. This virtuous and altruistic endeavour began in 1992 with just two children. Today. 18 years down the line, this institution harbours 190 children of varying disabilities. This progress is attributed soley to the kindness and benevolence of people like you.

However, there are so many children still who need our help. Join us in our efforts to help these less fortunate children and make this world a better place for them to live in. Your support is their lifeline!

If your situation is such,
You can't extend monetary help,
And still have a great heart to help,
Spread this message.
Try to motivate your friends and relatives.
There are people, who want to give,
But do not know HOW to give,
WHERE to give and WHOM to give,
We are here, with the DOORS wide OPEN
